We have a small Papillon we rescued. His biggest problem is barking. We need to stop his barking all the time because we live above a funeral home and it can be very disruptive during services. We didn't want the type of collar that shocks them when they bark so we opted for this one. First, it's very heavy for an 8 lb dog. When he berked, the mist of citronella didn't even phase him. In fact, I think he likes it. I thought it would have more of a spray sound when it emits but it doesn't. I wish they would come up with something that sprays a strong air shot with a high pitch noise. I think that may work better. Sorry will be returning this.

I have two Chesapeake's Bay Retrievers, I work field with one, and the other one (puppy) is learning....When I take one out of the car the other "SCREAMS", carry's on, like a kid with a temper tantrum. So, I bought the collar...Well after two barks with the pup, he does not bark anymore, lays down like a well behaved boy...Yes, the first couple of times he was a little surprised of the release, but then accepted it and learned to be quiet......My older girl, she does the same...It is nice to work one dog without the other screaming at me....It Works!

after 3 days of use, the unit stopped working. The replacement batteries are not carried in regular stores, I had to purchase in a special battery store.
They are quite expensive. one battery=$8 bucks. the one that came with only lasted a couple of times.

I have a small Shih Tsu/Yorkie mix who was pretty yippie...barking at people, birds, cars etc. I finally decided to purchase a bark collar but did not want a shock collar. I read the reviews on this collar and decided to give it a try. I read the instructions, loaded the Citronella and put the collar on her waiting for the next barking spree. She barked once and was sprayed...barked again and was sprayed...then silence. She appear frightened so I removed the collar and it took a while for her to calm down but no barking. She now barks occassionally however, I just show her the collar and she stops. This was the best money ever spent!

We purchased the spray bark collar as our Whippet was getting out of control with barking. I put the collar on her early in the morning; she started to bark and 1 and 1/2 barks later completely stopped barking. We still put the collar on her once in a while, don't turn it on and the barking stops. We have had the spray bark for about two and a half weeks and the silence is still golden!

Humane way to stop excessive barking. One squirt of citronella and the barking stopped. Now I just have to put it on the barking stops.

For my dog, others are I'm sure different, it hasn't worked at all. He continues to bark, espically in the morning he won't stop barking. I wish it had worked for both of us.

I bought the citronella bark collar for small dogs. It works very well to keep my Chihuahua from lots of barking and at the same time it keeps the bugs away. I do not like shock collars and this will not cause health problems to my dog. I am very pleased.

Not only do you get a puff of citronella in your own face when filling the canister, it does nothing when the dog barks. Probably going to return product.

I have Azawakhs and they bark and howl a lot! I live/work in Japan now and in my apartment complex there are a lot of shift workers. The dogs MUST be quiet. I have three of these collars and they work really well. My two adult dogs are completely quiet. Sometimes I forget to put the collars on and they are still quiet! I recently got an 8 month old Azawakh pup and she's a barker! Put a collar on her and within a day or two, at the most, she'd bark once. I'd never be without these collars in the future. Blessed quiet!
