We have three labs at the present. You do have to train your dogs and let them go thru the fence to feel the charge in order for them to get trained. We had another lab who used it until the time she died. All work well. One lab whose collar was not tight enough learned to go slowly thru the fence line keeping her head very still, but we changed the prong to a longer one and tightened the collar a bit and she is back to not crossing the line. Just a very smart dog. Charge collars once a month.

Have two dogs and use one on each dog. The collar we are replacing lasted for 8-9 years before no longer being able to hold a charge. Not a bad life span!

Very happy with these collars. We have two dogs and they each use one. For the smaller one, we cut the "extra" off so she wouldn't chew on the end. They definitely work and it's only taken two or three "shocks" to keep them both in the fenced area for good!

The only thing I wish was the the warning tone was louder. Especially during the training. Other than that I am very satisfied.

We purchased this collar as a replacement for the original (the batteries kept dying on the original). It has worked perfectly and looks just like the original!.

MOST of the time he steers clear of the bounderies. To be honest he has gone thru the fence to get to my husband TWO times. BUT he would walk thru fire for him. He has stopped going out of the yard to chase horses tho! For anything really. It is VERY important that the probes make contact with the skin. I made the mistake of not keeping it close enough and Earl was just walking thru the fence. The battery holds a charge for days. Not sure how long as we just re-charge once a week regardless. We've had this system for well over a month now.Very pleased with this purchase. These folks rock with service and S & H!

The best thing you can say about any product is to buy it again. The first one was a victim of lightning after 6 years, along with a TV and a computer . The second system is 3 years old, and has been a very good investment. It keeps 5 Great Danes enclosed in 5 acres with no problems. Before the underground fence,( which by the way does not have to be "underground", I have mine run alone the top of 5 acres worth of 4' field fence, with zip ties), I had tried an electric fence. They would dig out underneath , and it was difficult to maintain . With the Innotek rechargeable in-ground fence , the dogs stay 10' back from the fence, and have had no escapes.
