Our award-winning Smart Door recognizes the SmartKey™ tag on your dog’s collar and unlocks the dog door. After your dog has passed through, it re-locks automatically. Additional keys available for other pets. The PetSafe Electronic Smart Door recognizes the collar "SmartKey" on your dog and unlocks to allow your dog access. The sensing range is adjustable up to 3 feet. After your dog passes through, the door will relock again automatically. Animals without the SmartKey are not able to enter. You may have a total of 5 SmartKeys in use at one time. The PetSafe SmartDoor allows you to control the access of your pets. When the SmartDoor is set to Automatic mode, only your pets wearing the SmartKey can pass through the SmartDoor. As your dog enters the adjustable range of the SmartDoor, the SmartDoor detects the SmartKey and unlocks automatically. The range is adjustable up to 3 feet. After your dog passes through the Smart Door, the door will lock automatically. Without the SmartKey, no other animals can pass through.
