The Pet Fence Wire Break Locator makes finding breaks quick and easy. Often times, it is not possible to tell where your wire is broken unless you have the wire break locator.
It's not uncommon that you would need to dig up all your wire to find it. The Wire Break Locator will help you troubleshoot your system if there is a wire break indication on the fence transmitter or if the receiver collar is not functioning on the containment system but works during the short loop test.
Our Pet Fence Wire Break Detector can be used for any brand of underground pet fence to find wire breaks. This new and improved system replaces RFA-50.
The wire break locator is not returnable unless it is defective. All returned wire break detectors will be tested for proper operation. We will replace defective wire locators at no charge.

Works just like the instructions says it does, found six breaks in 1300 feet of wire. However the radio receiver that comes with it is very weak in picking up the signal. Like some other reviewers I used my own radio and it worked great.

Within minutes found the break in underground wire without having to dig any up. Thank you for the best product ever. Would recommend to everyone as it is easy to use and quickly finds the break.

Good product, but we had to use our own radio, so the wand was not needed.
We have a wire buried around 5 acres so it was a good project. However we found the break on the first try. The people at radio fence were very helpful. I would recommend this product, but you need your own radio.

The transmitter works fine, the instructions are clear, but the little toy receiver that mounts on the stick is cr@p. The selectivity is awful, I could not avoid hearing the same local AM station even tuning from end of the AM band to another. And the on-off switch works most of the time. I gave it three stars because I *was* able to trace the signal around the loop by listening in the quiet moments between the radio people talking!

with less than a single pass thru our property boundary (2 wooded acres) we found our break in the line. It was in the middle of a chip monk hole which they had chewed through the wire. That very morning we had to bring our dog back from the rode because he was not afraid to cross the boundary anymore. The timely repair definitely prevented a bad ending.

It was easy enough to set up but didn't work well at all in my area (Greater Cincinnati, OH) because the tuner wouldn't go into a position that didn't pick up a radio station. As a result, I was left trying to decipher the signals emitted while a radio voice prevailed in the background.

First of all, this is the first review that I have ever written for any product but since I know firsthand the frustrations regarding finding a broken wire for our invisible fence, felt I needed to write my review and let people know that this product is Awesome! Instructions were very easy and I found the break in the wire and repaired within 20 minutes! Hope I never have another line break but if I do then I feel very confident owning the RF-450. Well worth the money...buy it!

Unable to get tones without radio station at the same time. Too many radio ststions in our area around the 620 frequency.
We able to find the break but needed to do some digging to actually pinpoint the actual location

As an Electrical Engineer and a manufacturer of electronic products, I thought the product worked "OK" but it could be a lot better.
