Product Description

The Pet Fence Wire Break Locator makes finding breaks quick and easy. Often times, it is not possible to tell where your wire is broken unless you have the wire break locator.

It's not uncommon that you would need to dig up all your wire to find it. The Wire Break Locator will help you troubleshoot your system if there is a wire break indication on the fence transmitter or if the receiver collar is not functioning on the containment system but works during the short loop test.

Our Pet Fence Wire Break Detector can be used for any brand of underground pet fence to find wire breaks. This new and improved system replaces RFA-50.

Features:

  • Find wire breaks quickly and easily
  • Eliminates need to re-wire your yard
  • Dig up the wire where the break is - not all the wire!

Includes:

  • Wire break location transmitter
  • Receiver with expandable handle
  • 50 feet of Boundary Wire
  • 2 grounding stakes
  • 4 gel-filled capsules
  • 4 wire nuts
  • 2 cable ties
  • Receiver requires 2 AAA batteries - Not Included
  • Owners Manual

The wire break locator is not returnable unless it is defective. All returned wire break detectors will be tested for proper operation. We will replace defective wire locators at no charge.

I am extremely pleased with the Wire Break Detector. It is a quality unit and makes finding wire breaks quick and easy. I wish I had known about it years ago, it would have saved a lot of needless work.

  5. Finds wire breaks quickly

I tried using the RF transmitter method for finding a break in my line but was unsuccessful. I purchased this detector and found the break within minutes.

I had a little problem with the grounding. After trying the grounding rod for our house, I was still having issues with getting the correct signal. So out of desperation I hooked up the ground line to the ground post in our vehicle. It works! After getting the ground established, I was able to quickly go right to the break in the line.

  6. Worked as described

"I spent a lot of money installing an invisible ""Dog Watch"" fence surrounding seven acres in field and woods and then it broke in a little over a year. I hadn't thought of the expense of having an installer come out to fix it -- over $100 for sure. Finding the break would have been an impossible task without this product.
At first it was a little challenging identify the two pitches properly, but once I got that I could follow the wire easily around the perimeter. The signal gets VERY weak as you get further away from the transmitter. In my case that was perhaps a 1/4 mile. In the end I had to almost crawl along with the receiver just along the ground, whereas I could walk at a fast clip upright at the beginning. But that's just the nature of the technology. The important point is that I was able to narrow the site of the break down to about 10 feet *very* far from the source. It worked. And as far as I know, no other device is available to work with the Dog Watch brand fence. This device was cheaper than an installer visit and can be used again. Highly recommended."

  7. Wire Break Detector

I had several breaks in my fence, some caused by a tornado passing through my front yard and some caused by my neighbor's horses breaking through their electric fence and running back and forth along my wire. While no trees were knocked down by the tornado, the roots were raised causing breaks. Our alternative to the fence break finder was to rebury an acre of wire. Great timesaver! I was fortunate to be able to repair the breaks before my Border Collies knew the fence wasn't working.
