the small dog feature is misleading. making the collar as small as possible still leaves it to big for a 20 pounder.

although we have a petsafe underground fence, our terrier mix could not resist the temptation to chase squirrels on our adjacent properties. It was hard to get her to return home. With the little dog training collar and a little patience, she now returns to our house with the "COME" command even when she leaves our propery. Easy to use, and easy to train our dog. She responds well to the audible and/or the shock modes.

I really enjoy the product when it does work, but for some reason does not work all of the time. I push the warning button but do not hear a chime, push it again and still no chime. I take the collar off to make sure that it is on and I see green light and try warning button no noise still and then try shock button and no red light. I re position myself and push warning button and finally hear it, press again and nothing. Does not seem like it is the batteries, i bought some new ones but have not had the opportunity to try it out yet. Wish that it would work properly.

We bought this for our Jack Russell puppy because he likes to visit the neighbors. Sometimes we can get him home with the whistle, but it does take the shock to get to come back. He is pretty stubborn! The only problem that we have had is with the batteries until we started taking it off of him at night and turning it off. All and all, he seems to understand what happens when he has it on, but when it comes to seeing rabbits, it is all over!!

We have the best little yorke puppy until it is dark. Then he thinks if we can't see him, he dosn't have to come when you call. If I shined a light on him he would come because he knew I could see him. I only had to use the trainer once with the shock to get his attention. The last few days just putting on the trainer is enough.

I live on 5 unfenced acres and have a very stubborn Tan Terrier who likes to wander and not come back till he feels like it. I have had the little dog training collar for a couple weeks batteries still good because I turn it off when not in use. It is going to take a lot of work to break his habbits but at least I get his attention when I need to. As a matter of fact he just wondered away as I was writting this review!

Our dog went from a bird chaser to a bird watcher. She is a stay at home dog,and is no longer known as the devil dog.We olny had to shock her 4 times, and after that all we used was the sound warning. And today she is collar free. This took all summer to do,but she is a new dog.

I have a little 6 month old puppy who has a mind of her own. The first day I put this on her she calmed down, stopped jumping on people and barking. I love this product.

I just started using this to try to correct a couple of negative behaviors from my 1.5 yr old corgi. He had a habit of barking and chasing our cats and didn't respond to my verbal or other commands ( tug on choke collar, spry with water ) to curb this. I did have to give him a little shock set on number 4 to get his attention , but it was one time and now all he needs is a reminder with the tone to make him stop.

"We have used this collar for our dogs and to retrain rescue dogs with problem behaviors. Our dogs are contained by a radio fence, so they are familiar with the beep-shock association. Due to this, we very rarely require the shock correction. The proper use of this device has helped us to retrain and subsequently rehome dogs who previously exhibited many problem behaviors, such as dog-dog aggression and unbridled prey drive. Breaking the bad behavior cycle then allows us to harness that animal's drives into more positive activies.
We've also used this device to set boundaries for our dogs in unfamiliar locations, with good effect."
