Stop any dog from barking. The PetSafe Deluxe Outdoor Bark Control disrupts barking with timed ultrasonic tones dogs can hear but we humans cannot.
When the Deluxe Outdoor Bark Control is within range of barking, an internal microphone picks up the sound and the unit is activated. It emits an ultrasonic sound, which cannot be heard by humans, similar to a dog whistle. Startled by the high-pitched sound, the dog should stop barking, as it will associate its bark with this unpleasant noise.

It is effective!

My dog responded immediately. She does bark, however, much less than she used to, which is what I wanted to accomplish. Dogs are supposed to bark, but not non-stop, which was the problem I had when my neighbors, or their dogs, were outside. Now, she will let out a bark here and there, but she stops much faster. This product is a bit too sensitive to weather. Given that it must be placed within 50 feet of the dog, you are limited where to place it, so it does get wet. Once dried, however, it startes working again. One suggestion: Add an on/off switch, in addition to the timer settings. Second suggestion: Try to make it a bit more weather proof and you will have the perfect product! Overall, I do like the product a lot, and would recommend it.

Easily installed, easy to program, and somewhat effective. At times my pack simply wants to bark and will put up with the 'corrections'. In general, though, they do cut down considerably on solo barking fits and shorten group barking episodes. Battery life is about 2 weeks (12 hours on, 4 dogs, regular foot traffic).

Our Goldendoodle had been barking nonstop EVERY night, but only in the backyard. I didn't want to hurt him and didn't want him to stop all barking -- just not in the backyard at night. This birdhouse did the trick! I hung it up and didn't hear a peep from that moment on! I'd recommend it.
