I like this underground dog fence, it has been really good. It went in easy and has a nice, strong signal. My dogs have stayed contained, and we have had no escapes! Our yard still looks great and we have had no issues! I would recommend this to anyone wanting an underground pet fence.

We have 3 dogs, 2 Staffordshire Terriers and 1 Doberman/Weimaraner mix. All are rescues. We were slightly hesitant to use the system due to an extremely intense rehabilitation for the youngest...not wanting her to regress. But we needed to do something so when we are outside working so she can join us and the rest of the dogs. The most important part of our training has to do with patience, trust, consistency, and praise.
Now, about the product, it was easy to install the fence 40 X 90 inch plot, with the loop going over top and into our garage. Used an edging shovel, pushed the wire down about 3-5 inches and then heavily walked over the cut. When installing the flags, I had some trouble hearing the tone, so the included tool came in handy. I still can't hear the tone when training, so I pay attention to her expression (she would turn her ears, now she returns back to me).
Training has to do with each individual dog and its trainer. To conclude my feedback book :) It has been a great experience with Radiofence and Petsafe.

I intalledd the Sportdog transmitter with 5000 feet of boundary wire encompassing the perimeter of 32 acres. The boundary wire traverses two wetlands where I kept the wire roughly 5 feet above grade to minimize any deer disruption. the balance of the boundary wire I attached to existing stock fence. I only needed to bury roughly 200 feet of boundary which made the install very easy. The 5 level combination audio/static output featured on the collar is great. After testing the collar output 1,2 and 3, I found the level 3 was sufficient to gain the attention of my jack russell in all situations.

I rented a motorized trenching tool to trench 1+ acre. Laid the wire and secured it with the staples. Attached two equal lengths of wire to my vice and the other end to my power drill. Twisted the cancellation wire easily.
This is the second home at which I installed a Radio Fence. Works like a charm. My dog is already trained and roams the 1+ acre freely.
Don't pay 5 times the price to do something you can easily do yourself. Total time for installation 4 hours.

I've used these fences for years and they work amazingly well! The price varied from 159.00 to 210.00 for the same model depending on where you shop. I live in Oregon but purchased mine from Florida as Radio Fence had the best price!

we are very pleased with the fence. we enclosed 4 acres for two dogs (blue healer and jack russell terrier). The terrier was trained in one day and the blue healer took two days. they have access to the outside 24 hours a day and do not leave even when we leave or other temptations come along (people, cars, dogs, rabbits, etc). we definitely recommend this product.

We (my wife and I) adopted a small Chihuahua mix and do not have a fenced in yard. This dog loves to be outside, so we purchased our pet fence, and installed it above ground using about 700 feet of wire and staples to hold it in place. After the first couple days of training, Chewey pretty well had it down and wanted no part of wandering out past the flags. Now, after about six weeks, we use his collar sometimes and sometimes we don't! He shows no indication that he wants to leave his area at all. We are obviously thrilled with the fence and highly recommend it to anyone!!

I have an akita which is a large dog, it took about one afternoon to install and about one day of training. He got shocked 3 times and no longer crosses his boundary, even if a cat walks by. I am very satisfied with this purchase.

We have 2 cairn terriers who love to run after squirrels, cats, you name it. They also used to run out towards the road whenever someone walked by. With the PetSafe Radio Fence, we were able to easily install it 2,000 feet around our home and it's been very effective. We also stapled it to the ceiling of our cellar to prevent our dogs from going into our formal living room and up the stairs. It worked like a charm! My only complaint is the collars are not very sturdy and I can see having to replace them in a short period of time from wear.

My dogs had it down within two days with only a couple of zaps each. Watch out for gophers though. We purchased the break finder. We buried enough wire to cover three acres so it was really worth it. My runaway Husky is a changed dog now that he has freedom to run. We are moving and setting up the PetSafe fence at our new place.
