This product works as well as advertised

We installed this in half of our yard (wanted to keep the other half ""clean"" for kids baseball). The installation was straightforward but a little time consuming - the main problem is with tree roots. I dug a thin trench by hand, but if you have lots of tree roots this is a pain. I would use a saw to cut through the roots.
The training DVD is very helpful. We followed this carefully.
We thought he would go through the fence when he saw a rabbit or squirrel, but he did not and stayed within the boundaries - much to our surprise. Our dog is a 15 pound male cockapoo, one year old.
It's great to just open the door and let him out!

Even with two very high energy, young, large dogs the system works perfectly. It was easy to intall and the dogs trained to it in about 20 min. The on line (you tube) training video was very helpful in teaching me (owner) how to effectively train the dogs to the fence. To my surprise it was 100% effective (and pain free) within the first day! We are now going to buy one for the cottage and "babysitter's". It's such a peace of mind!

It's is worth the money

We have 3 small dogs that love to run and play outside. We put the underground fence around about 2/3 of our 2 acre property. The dogs immediately knew where they had to stop. We have 3 collars but don't always put them all on. We had one dog that ran through the fence once chasing a rabbit. We increased the distance from the wire they get the signal and it never happened again. We are very happy we made the investment.

We bought the 5 level fence shortly after getting our puppy (jack russell mix, 35 lbs), he was about 3.5 months old (5 mths ago). After using the training method walking around the perimeter 2 times and w/a couple of quick shocks, our pup was trained. We did however leave the flags up for a while just to ensure he was fully aware of his ""space"". Although we do keep his collar on him all the time, it isn't necessary. Additionally, our puppy did not treat us or react differently following the training. * We did not bury the line, he opted to buy the stakes and place them around the yard perimeter and allow the grass to grow around the wire due to the size of our yard. However, in the areas around the landscaping we did bury the line. The frequency strength works the same under 4 inches of stone, fyi.
I absolutely recommend this fencing system!

I purchaed this product because I do not have a fenced yard. My dog an 8 month old Labradoodle weighing 50 lbs. The fence kept the dog in for a couple of months then he was running through it. I realized the collar that came with the system was not for large dogs. I purchased a collar for stubborn dogs and have not had any trouble. Very glad I purchased the system and you can't beat the price. The brochure said it would take about 5 hours or more to install, it took us 2 hours tops. I would highly recommend this product.

Works Better Than Hoped

It was easy to install with the use of a little trench digger. I was leery about whether my dog would pick up on how he should interact with the boundaries and when the collar warns him. Training was so-so and left me thinking that it wasn't going to work. And then he just kind of got it after one week. I can mow my lawn at let him (very active dog) run around free the whole time. Neighbor kids can play right next door and he doesn't even attempt to test the boundary. The same goes with people walking on the sidewalk. It has had the exact affect that I wanted.
