We use this pet door on the door into our garage from outside. It does not let the drafts in. It took a little adjusting, but with the proper adjustments my 4 1/2# Cha-weiner dog can get through it just fine. We upgraded from another smaller pet door to accomodate a larger dog and it was a little difficult to install as the other hole was slightly larger than the template. All in all a great door and it brought up the temperature in my garage 20 dregrees!

The door is well made and looks to be durable. I couldn't install it in the door I wanted because the door was too narrow. I am installing it in an outside door that has the correct diminitions. I would like to have the same style door that I could put in between the garage and the kitchen as draft from the garage comes into the house. That would reqire a dog door that would adjust to a thinner door.

Too much of a draft let in. Not sure that it is feasible for the winter. Otherwise very easy to install, convienent, and handy!

"I installed this product on my house's back door. It opens directly into my TV room. It keeps the hot air out in the hot Carolina summer and I'm sure will do the same for the cold this winter. That was my only concern and its working great.
It was a little harder to install than it looked but it came out fine. Take your time and do it right the first time!
It took me a week to train my dog to use it properly and comfortably. But, he is a big baby! He loves it now and I dont have to get up 20 times a night letting him in and out.
Solid product!"

Really happy I invested in this dog door. The dogs learned to use it quickly and now even my old cat uses it. Maybe you could make a wider version for overweight dogs. I haven't had it installed during winter yet. I'm hoping it stands up to our weather.

I bought a small door, and my dog is just over fifteen lbs and she fits through this door.

From our Lab to our Yorkshires, the door is used constantly. Even the Yorkshires are able to use the larger door (we had apprehensions about that). The door seals well. It is tough as our Lab hits it at a run. It is a wonderful product, just hard to install.

"We love this door! Heavy duty for extreme weather... it's all it claims to be. The cats figured this one out before the dogs. It's a little heavier door than what the animals were use to, but only took one day to coax them in and out and they figured out how to push thru. We have small dogs 5 - 7 lbs and bigger cats. Could be why the cats weren't as intimidated by it as the dogs. They all love it now!
My daughter bought one like this in the large size for her 60lb. dog. She loves it as well!
Highly recommend this product!"
