Exactly what I expected. High quality, easy to use, and reliable. I got two for my two cats. I have one very skittish cat and at first she didn't like the noise but then she realized what it meant. great for when you're away for a couple day. would recommend to anyone looking for a automatic feeder!

I read the reviews on several products and decided to go with this product hoping my little devils couldn't get into it or flip it over. Its heavy enough and and the snaplocking lid kept them out. Wish it took smaller rechargable batteries, or plugged in so I could use it everday without having to buy new batteries every month. Worked great for my vacation though, no more cat sitters.

After many rviews and searching on the internet I dove in. Its only a week and my Kitty and his owner are as happy as can be.
I go away for long weekends and dont have to worry about my favorite feline.

This feeder is exactly what I expected. High quality, easy to use, and reliable. I previously purchased the two - sided feeder by Petsafe and was very happy. It still works great, but I needed to go away for 4 days and it just didn't have enough slots.

Excellent, durable, and so far uncrackable by 6 cats (2 feeders that have been in use 2 months). The only thing is that the compartments are a little deep, so the kitties paw the food out of the compartment and make a big mess. Also difficult for multiple pets - the most aggressive eat first, while the timid ones eat last.

It worked as advertized. If you have a large dog you will need to set it for twice a day. I know when I am away for the weekend my dog will not go hungry.

I was nervous about this product as I read a dozen or so negative reviews. However, not seeing a better option, I decided to give it a try. And my whole family is happy that I did! It has been just over 1 week, but the feeder is a big hit in our household. Now our cat doesn't have to meow loudly at 5 a.m. to wake us up for food!! The feeder is very easy to program, easy to clean, and very dependable so far. It's performing beautifully (I peeled off the instruction sheet to ensure the tray's trouble-free rotation). I wish this feeder had a better device to keep wet food fresh though - only one ice pack holder isn't enough. This feeder is PERFECT for us and our petite cat, but I can see a bigger, stronger, and persistent cat may break into the hidden compartments or pry open the lid and eat all the food inside. So make sure to test the feeder with your cat before relying on it. For us, the feeder's durability remains to be seen.

I went through a few other pet feeders before I could find one that was reliable enough and that my cat couldn't break into. My cat is extremely food-motivated, and with past feeders, he would either find a way to get to the food inside, or the feeder was so light he would bat it all over the house. This one is heavy and sturdy enough that he couldn't move it, and he couldn't get inside. It's easy enough to set the clock and feeding times on this feeder. However, there is no on/off switch, so when the feeder is not in use, you have to take the batteries out, which is annoying, because then you have to reset the clock and feeding times every time. Another problem I have with this feeder is that if you feed wet food and you're gone for a long time, it doesn't have a very good system for keeping the food fresh. There is a single slot for an ice pack, and it's located under the first compartment, which makes no sense whatsoever. That compartment is always exposed, so if you put any food in there, that's what will get eaten first. So it doesn't need to be refrigerated. The food that's stored in the feeder for a later feeding has no refrigeration at all. Sometimes if I'm gone for more than 12 hours, I'll put ice packs on top of the feeder, but I'm not sure how much that helps. Despite these seemingly common-sense design flaws, this is probably the best feeder there is. I've had it for several years and it's always been reliable until now - the tray doesn't turn at all anymore for some reason. But it lasted a good while. There don't seem to be any better options out there, so I will buy another one of these. I would recommend taking the batteries out between uses, or they'll drain quickly. It still seems to work when the battery life is low though; the tray just turns more slowly.
