Product Description

Make sure your cat behaves as if you were standing right there. The PetSafe Wireless Indoor Cat Barrier is safe, easy to set up and very effective.

Just place the small, disk-shaped transmitter (about the size of a Frisbee) near the area you want to protect. Then adjust the range from as little as 2 feet to up to 10 feet.

When your pet gets near the signal a warning beep sounds on the receiver/collar. If he continues to approach the protected area, a mild correction is given. You can increase or decrease the correction to meet your cat's training needs.

You can protect multiple areas and cats with additional transmitters or collars.  The receiver/collar is light and durable and specifically designed for cats with an elastic safety strip that will stretch in those instances where your cat is exploring in a tight place.

Features:

  • For cats 6 pounds and up and older than 6 months
  • Works with multiple cats (additional receiver collars required)
  • 4 adjustable levels of static correction
  • Tone-only mode alerts your pet with a beep
  • Our lightest waterproof receiver collar with safety stretch section
  • Low battery indicator
  • Collar uses PetSafe RFA-188 battery (included)

  1. works well

Posted by armani mom on Oct 10th 2011

This device emits a circle radius barrier.. so that needs to be considered when you purchase it. I use it to keep my cat inside my office, but since the room is 10x12 I had to put the transmitter outside the office door so that the cat has enough room to walk around inside the office. works well and my cat was 10 weeks old when he first used it.. he learned very fast...

  2. Wish I found this product sooner

Product easy to use and much more reliable than a physical fence. Our cat jumps over three foot fence with no problem. The detector on the collar is a bit bulky but the cat seems to live with it ok. Definitely recommends this to anyone who wants to restrict access to a cat.

  3. Highly Recommend!

Our 9 year old cat had developed the nasty habit of peeing on our carpet upstairs. We tried almost everything including physical barriers, and nothing worked. This has been wondeful! The transmitter sits on our computer desk upstairs and the range is such that it engages about halfway up our stairs. Our cat has tested it twice and that's all it took. We check the collar periodically to make sure it isn't chaffing, and so far so good. We've had it for 3-4 months and the battery has just now run out of juice. That's shorter than I'd like, but I can handle replacing batteries 4 times a year if it will keep my carpet clean. The receiver is a little bulky for my small 8 lb cat, but even with her small stature, she doesn't seem to mind. All in all, I have been very pleased!

  4. Effective on my cat!

I use Radio Fence to keep my cat off the kitchen counters and out of my kitchen. Now I don't have cat prints on the counter and unwanted cat hair either. Its fence radius is about 10 to 12 feet turned on high. So that is enough to keep kitty away.

  5. Thank goodness I found this!

Can't tell you how much I love this product. When I introduced a new kitten into our home, an adult cat became aggressive and began injuring another of my adult cats who is very timid. My vet encouraged me to try the radio fence. What a difference. My timid cat has a room where he can retreat, and my aggressive cat thinks the timid cat has new found strength. I am so thankful for this product. Without it, I was going to have to try to place the aggressive cat, which is no easy task, emotionally or otherwise. It was definitely an excellent buy, worth every penny.

  6. Would recomend

It works wonderfully on both cats. The more timid larger cat works well on a 3 setting. The smaller more stubborn cat does fine on a 4 setting. Also I have a basement, I use the collars to keep my cats downstairs so they wont jump on the table and counters in my kitchen. I have to watch my settings because it will range 10 feet in all directions including up or down. I didn't realize this and although my cats weren't coming upstairs, their litter box is located downstairs under the unit and they couldn't get to that either.
