Increase the range of your Instant Fence. Add an extra 1/2 acre to your dog’s outside playpen!

For larger or uniquely shaped yards, this extra transmitter can expand your coverage. Large, overlapping circular fields create even more more room for your pet to exercise, play, and stay safe. Plus, it’s portable for vacations or other locations. Requires the use of a PIF-275 Wireless Fence Receiver Collar (sold separately).

The range of The PetSafe Wireless Dog Fence can be increased by using two or more transmitters.  This creates intersecting circles and the signal is canceled where the circles intersect. This allows your pet access to the entire area. One additional transmitter would create a boundary that is up to 180 feet wide and up to 330 feet long.

  1. Works in a pinch

    I have a wired fence system that has a break in the line. As it is winter I will have to wait until spring to try and find the break.
    I have had a wireless system for just such emergencies, but my system is about 15 years old, and the transmitter was acting erratically. I purchased just the transmitter now, and it is working fine. Jake is safe and sound in my yard again!

    I live in a rural area on a little over 3 acres. Fencing the entire area would be prohibitively expensive. Fencing a small part would negate the advantages of the big yard. I purchased 2 transmitters and 2 collars for my Cairn Terriers. I have one transmitter on one end of the house and one on the other end. This gives my pets almost 1/2 acre that they can play in. They quickly adapted to the correction. They know their allowed area and stay in it.

    One tip. If you do not get the 90+ radius you are expecting, make sure to "resync" the collars. This is well covered in the back of the manual and suggested in the trouble shooting steps. I mention this because it *will* work without the "sync", but not nearly as well. This does not appear to be a digital code, but a setting of the receive frequency at the collar. These units were replacements and I was very disappointed in their performance until I performed the "resync". After that they performed exactly as advertised.

    I originally purchased the wired fence and within 4 months started having problems. I have a Lab/Newfoundland mix and an Australian cattle dog. They use to charge the wired fence and break through. I was searching for another solution when I came across the Wireless Fence. I have had mine now for 2 years and absolutely love it. I am now planning on adding a second transmitter to extend it further. I highly recommend it.

    I have owned on of these for 3 years and our Huskey does't run off at all.... Onl problem is now the transmitter is not working but it still was worth the but and going to but another one tomorrow

    system was delivered quickly and seemed to be in good condition. tech service was helpful prior to sale by explaining how the system works and making me feel comfortable that it would work for my property.

    For over 20 years of owning Great Danes we finally feel safe leaving them. My dogs can jump over anything and dig under anything. These collars are perfect as a beeping sound occurs before the actual shock which is all it takes for my dogs to stay in area. You can adjust area covered from a small to very large area.
    I wish I had found these years ago. No crazy transmitters or wires outside needed just plug in unit in house anywhere.
