Product Description

Does your dog bark too much? Maybe your neighbor's dog barks too much? Now there is a solution to excessive barking - even if it's coming from someone else's dog!

This decorative electronic birdhouse is really an Ultrasonic Bark Control Device to control nuisance barking! Designed to look like a birdhouse, the PetSafe Ultrasonic Bark Control System can hang in a tree, on a fence post, or anywhere outside.

When the Ultrasonic Bark Control Birdhouse detects excessive barking the microphone picks up the barking and activates the unit. This results in a safe ultrasonic sound that is audible to dogs, but not to humans. The offending dog hears the sound and will stop barking. Safe and effective for all breeds and sizes of dogs.

  1. Waste of money

Put it right next to the fence where the dogs bark and all it does is make them whine and bark more. Have it turned up to the highest level. Worthless!!!

Did everything I was supposed to.Even turned it up to 3 and moved it not above 5'. My 2 dogs are still barking. I am returning it.

  3. Miraculous

Posted by Linda on Jun 8th 2013

From the moment we put this dog "birdhouse" up their was a marked decrease in our neighbor's dog's barking. It was like a miracle. One woof and that'd be it. Unfortunately, there were two other dogs in the neighborhood that the sonic emission didn't reach and after awhile we noticed the neighbor dog barking a little more, but still not nearly as much as before.

  4. Useless

Our dogs did not respond to this at all. Back to the bark collars.

  5. Nice, effective alternative to bark collars

Posted by Unknown on Apr 22nd 2013

I am pleased with this birdhouse ultrasonic bark control system, it is a good alternative to bark collars. When my dogs need a gentle reminder that they are straying too far, this is perfect. It was easy to install and works well.

  6. cheaply made

this product was not worth the price. we had it right next to our neighbors fence and it did not deter the dog from barking at all! very disappointed.

  7. Radio Fence

We live on a postage-stamp lot with a fence separating us from our neighbors. They have a large female dog and we have a small female and a small male dog. If the dogs are outside at the same time they go nuts at the fence, stomping everything in their path. I didn't mount the bird house. I simply carry it outside, turn it on and set it on a table and the two females instantly cease the fence agression. They run away with their tails between their legs. The small male, however, does not stop barking. He continutes to stalk the fence and bark until he gets bored. I wonder if he's a bit deaf... at any rate, if the bird house had stopped my male dog from barking I would have rated it a 5. Also... it works at 10 to 50 feet on the two females.

  8. Not very effective

This product seemed good and by the reviews I was very hopeful. However, it only seems to work in a small area. It doesn't seem to matter how high I turn up the range, it has no affect. Within 15 feet it works but there can't be any other noises. I do not recommend it and am going back to basic discipline. I am truly astonished as to how many people rave about it.

  9. I think it works

Posted by Duncman on Jun 6th 2012

It definitely had an effect on the larger dogs. I think it also works on the chihuahuas, but they continue to bark anyway. The noisiest one seems old and may be a bit deef (deaf). I think it is best to turn them off during the day, and back on only when we need them. this keeps the dogs from becoming used to the sound.

  10. My neighbors no longer hate me!

Posted by Three Fluffs on Jun 4th 2012

We have three bichons. One is quite the barker. He gets going and the other two chime in. Our neighbors complained that, whenever they tried to have a barbecue in their backyard, Riley would bark at them, which got the other two going. They said it was impossible to enjoy their barbecue. I tried a citronella collar, but didn't want to shave Riley's neck to allow the spray to reach his nose. I decided to give this birdhouse a try. It has worked beautifully! I'm sure it's primarily due to the fact that Riley had been trained to a wireless fence, the collar of which was set to beep when he got too close to the perimeter of the yard. Through training, he learned that the beep might mean a shock, even though he was only ever shocked on the lowest setting one time during training (the collar was set to beep mode only). I think he hears the ultrasonic beep of the birdhouse and thinks of his collar, and runs inside the house. When he isn't barking, the other two don't bark. My neighbors are amazed at the difference. Now, we don't even have to actually turn the birdhouse on most of the time. The dogs are just quieter now!
