Loading... Please wait...If you already have your dog fence wire installed and need to replace your current dog fence transmitter and collar, you can use the PetSafe Stubborn Dog Radio Fence Without Wire. You can replace any brand of dog fence with this kit. Simply connect your wire to the transmitter then place the collar on your pet
The PetSafe Stubborn Dog Collar has four levels of correction plus vibration in the warning area for an added deterrent. Even dogs that resist training respond well to this system. With 4 higher-intensity settings, these harmless electrical stimulations work so effectively that most dogs will learn to stop in their tracks at the sounds of the early warning tone before any stimulation. Plus, its vibration option is ideal for hearing-impaired or senior dogs!

The PetSafe Stubborn Dog fence is working like a charm. We live in the country on a not-so-busy road, but we're concerned that our 8-month old retriever may wander into the road. We have 12 acres and it was easy to install around the whole area. The dog has learned not to go under our present fence or through the open gate. One comment is that we didn't need the ground staples to install the fence. There were several options to installing the fence above ground.

"We tried everything to contain one of our three 150lb dogs. Although our yard is fenced with wire on 3 boards she managed to go over, under and/or through when a distraction was strong enough. This included deer, skunks, ground hogs or a desire to swim in the neighbor's pond or chase their horses. Although we never wanted to use an electric fence, we didn't know what else to do.
It is winter so we decided to attach the wire to our fence. The only problem we had was laying out the plan and then pulling off the wire. The splices have held up well through multiple snow storms. Training was pretty easy. Our girl only needs the second correction level. Even though she has a heavy coat we did not need to order the long prongs. It took about 1 week before she decided that she wouldn't even test the waters. She still barks but remains about 10 feet from the flags. An added bonus is that it has stopped the chest bumping at the fence when an animal approaches. We are so pleased that we plan to purchase collars for the other dogs and let them join us in the front yard."

We have 2 large dogs.Only the Lab/Coonhound is a fance jumper. We weaved it through a chain link fence. The training was different than for a yard without a fence.Maybe I hurried it too much. He was afraid at first, but now he knows his safe area. Deer and rabbits have run (hopped) past and he still respects "the power" of the fence. However,he is frantic to get at them for a bit. We are so glad it works. Also, whenever I have phoned the company with a question, they have been great.
