Product Description

Safety, portability and completely wireless. The Insant Fence will keep your pet in your yard with no stakes, flags or wire to bury!

The Petsafe Wireless Fence is the safest, simplest form of pet containment ever. This wireless fence sets up in a matter of minutes and is completely portable, so it's great for travel or when you move into a new home.

It uses a constant radio signal to create a "safe zone". Your dog's collar picks up the signal and if he ventures out of the "safe zone", he will hear a warning tone, followed by a light, static correction that s completely safe and humane. The collar has five levels of adjustable stimulation so you can customize it to meet your dog's unique training needs. Only PetSafe offers this flexibility in a Wireless Dog Fence!

Within a few days, your pet learns his boundaries and will stay safe at home. Setting up the boundaries of your yard takes only a few minutes. You can adjust the boundaries from just a few feet to up to 180 feet in diameter (approx 1/2 acre). If you have a larger yard, you can use addtional transmitters to increase your containment area.

Features:

Increase Your Wireless Dog Fence Coverage with Additional Transmitters

The range of The PetSafe Wireless Dog Fence can be increased by using two or more transmitters.  This creates intersecting circles and the signal is cancelled where the circles intersect. This allows your pet access to the entire area. One additional transmitter would create a boundary that is up to 180 feet wide and up to 330 feet long.

How It Works:

The PetSafe Wireless Fence provides the safest, simplest form of pet containment ever. Plug in the transmitter some where inconspicuously in your home. The transmitter emits radio signal around your home. Your pet wears a lightweight receiver collar which "listens" for the signal. While the collar is receiving the signal, your dog is free to run and play in your yard. When he approaches the boundary of the signal area, he receives a warning beep. If your dog does not return, he receives a static correction which is startling but not harmful. With a little simple training, your dog will quickly learn his boundaries.

Setting up your PetSafe Wireless Fence takes just a few minutes. The transmitter plugs into any standard 110 volt outlet. Since the signal will transmit reliably through walls and other obstructions, it can be placed in any convenient and discreet location, typically in the garage or a closet. Once you have set up The PetSafe Wireless Fence, you can now adjust the range that is appropriate for your dog and your yard.

  1. Definitely makes life easier

Posted by Bradshaw on May 7th 2012

Our private community does not allow fenced in yards so we purchased the wireless fence and could have never hoped it was going to work as well as it has on our smaller dog. We also have a Lab / Retriever and his collar is on the way. We can only hope we have the same results as we do with our little Dog.
    Great product.

  2. Altogether a very good product

Posted by Mike on May 7th 2012

Having previously installed two sets of underground dog fence wiring in a large yard over five years -- each of which were inadvertantly impaired by aeration and construction equipment --was keen to find a sustainable solution going forward.

For the above reasons, was drawn to the wireless application -- but was doubtful. The wireless setup could not have been easier, and now nearly 6 months, am quite satisfied with the product and the ability to adjust the range or size of yard coverage.

  3. Love it!

Posted by Joe on Apr 19th 2012

Boo is 4 months old now, and we both love not having to go through the early "poop" ritual with the leash every morning. She looks forward to getting her collar snapped on, and hits the yard like a schoolchild at recess. She didn't require the long drawn out training period, but picked it up almost immediately, and has command of the yard, halting well within the safe zone. I have no sign of a path like the deep ruts around the perimeter my next door neighbor has with his invisible fence. I would love to see other selectable training features [e.g. anti-bark, behavior penalty...] integrated into the brain/stimulator on the single collar rather than having to layer multiple collars...

  4. Bailey Girl loves her wireless fence

Posted by Unknown on Apr 18th 2012

Bailey Girl is now 16 years old, acts lik a teenager. My Uncle and I received Bailey four years ago when my brother went to an assisted care facility. She was trained on an underground fence, but it had not been used for two years prior to us receiving Baily.Bailey kept running out the door and went exploring around the neighborhood, but always came back.Having a large yard we purchased the wireless fence for Bailey. We did not even have to use the white flags for training.Bailey seemed to remember what happens if she crossed the warnng line. Now Bailey has the freedom of the yard, and we don't even have to put the collor on half the time.Wonderfull product.Thank you,Rehrer from Pine Grove,Pa.

  5. Awesome product

Posted by AMY on Apr 16th 2012

I was a bit skeptical about purchasing this product after reading some of the reviews, but I am more than glad that I did finally decide to purchase it. It has made life so much easier. I have a yellow lab puppy, whom is very stubborn, and I have 2 young children so I was finding it very hard to take care of my children and walk the dog when she asked to go out (which is every 20 minutes). My puppy did take the full two weeks of training (where some of the reviews I read said it only took their dog 2 days) and it takes the highest setting, but she does stay within her boundary. Her hardest part of training was when I went outside of her boundry and she had to stay inside. No other distractions are hard for her to ignore, but me (her master). If she is called outside of her boundry she will take the shock and leave her boundry, but that is my 4 year old has to learn not to call her outside of the area. I was worried about the large metal objects affecting the fence also, but have had no problems with our car port or vehicles affecting how the fence works. I am 100% happy with this product, and all of our family members that came over for Easter were extemely pleased with how well the invisable fence worked. I do however have to say I am glad I trained my puppy at almost 4 months of age instead of wating till she was 6 months. She was completely capable of understanding her training at 4 months, and I think if I waited till 6 months she would have been even harder to train.

  6. best thing for all dogs when you dont have time to train..best ever

Posted by Brian G on Apr 13th 2012

I have three pugs and got the all at different times and my lot is narrow and I put it on my second pug because he wanted to run and would bark at me and would come to me(laughing at me..lol) so now I use the callor on him and it has trained him well. I got my third pug and now training him with it..these are great callors. I recomend these to all dog owners..

  7. I wish I had this product years ago!

Posted by Sharon on Apr 13th 2012

It has worked great with my two dogs! I have a small (but very stubborn) Min Pin mix and a very submissive Golden Retriever, and they both have learned the new boundary system rather quickly. After the first day, my Golden was basicly trained - I couldn't get him to walk around the boundary area, he wouldn't budge. Yet, he knows his boundary limits. The little dog took a little longer, but she doesn't go out of the boundary too often and when she does, she comes back in really quickly. I love it!

  8. dont believe the few pessimists!!!!!!!!!

Posted by Elaine. Ireland. on Mar 26th 2012

I bought this fence plus a second collar as a last resort for my dogs. Living in a rural community I was worried sick as my dogs ramblings had increased. I took in a stray (a terrier mix approx 2 yrs old) and my beagle (2 &1/2) became very unsettled & started rambling sometimes with the terrier & sometimes without. Being a farming community this was a massive source of stress & my usual techniques for prevention were not working. So I decided to invest. I can only describe this product as a weight having been lifted!!! However before purchase you do need to research. Make sure you know the length and width you need covered as it is a circular diameter and will not suit every plot. If you need zoned areas or irregular shapes it is not suitable you will need the wired system. Also as it is determined by radio signal so there is a slight difference (18-36inches) as to where the beep starts on individual collars but this is easily overcome with flag placement and training. I believe most of the failures i have read are the result of poor research and training. Of course there can also be the occasional faulty product but that’s why buying from a reputable source that has experience is important. There is also a warranty. My dogs are spoiled; pampered and showered with love everyday so also remember when they get that first "static correction" you will feel like plugging it out and throwing it away. But as my friend and fellow dog lover said "you sometimes have to be cruel(a little)to be kind". Within a couple of days my dogs were aware of their boundaries and within a week they were happier and more content than I had seen them in some time.

  9. This product is wonderful

Posted by Jack and Velma Martin on Mar 26th 2012

The stress relief we have felt since purchasing this product has been unbelievable. We have a small Jack Russell Terrior, Anne, who can get out of any containment. We spent [$]on chain link fencing 3 acres only to find her digging out and gone for hours, sometimes until way after dark. Living near a highway and constantly driving around looking for her was taking its toll on us. Since we purchased this collar she has not attempted to escape. What an absolute relief -- no more worrying about finding Anne dead on the road. We love you RadioFence and thank you for an excellent product so reasonably priced. We should have purchased this product years ago. If you are at your wits end with your dog, this is the product for you, try it and you'll not regret the results.

  10. Great product , was very pleased!!!

Posted by Putter the "Jack" and Bogey the "Pup" on Mar 26th 2012

I had a Jack Russell Terrier for 2 years on a 6 acre farm that was used to roaming his yard. He was very obedient and stayed on his own property. When we got a second dog, a poodle-terrier mix, our Jack started roaming outside his area and started visting the neighbor's dogs. Within 3 days, I had the new pup and our Jack trained. Sometimes I don't put their collars on, and they stay within their boundaries. My neighbors have the invisible fence and spent 2 weeks digging their yard to get it set up. It took my daughter and I about 2 1/2 hours to get our boundaries figured and we were on our way. We have a lot of strays, deer and animals that come around and if the dogs see them, they stay in the boundaries. I love it!!
