Safety, portability and completely wireless. The Insant Fence will keep your pet in your yard with no stakes, flags or wire to bury!
The Petsafe Wireless Fence is the safest, simplest form of pet containment ever. This wireless fence sets up in a matter of minutes and is completely portable, so it's great for travel or when you move into a new home.
It uses a constant radio signal to create a "safe zone". Your dog's collar picks up the signal and if he ventures out of the "safe zone", he will hear a warning tone, followed by a light, static correction that s completely safe and humane. The collar has five levels of adjustable stimulation so you can customize it to meet your dog's unique training needs. Only PetSafe offers this flexibility in a Wireless Dog Fence!
Within a few days, your pet learns his boundaries and will stay safe at home. Setting up the boundaries of your yard takes only a few minutes. You can adjust the boundaries from just a few feet to up to 180 feet in diameter (approx 1/2 acre). If you have a larger yard, you can use addtional transmitters to increase your containment area.
Increase Your Wireless Dog Fence Coverage with Additional Transmitters
The range of The PetSafe Wireless Dog Fence can be increased by using two or more transmitters. This creates intersecting circles and the signal is cancelled where the circles intersect. This allows your pet access to the entire area. One additional transmitter would create a boundary that is up to 180 feet wide and up to 330 feet long.
How It Works:
The PetSafe Wireless Fence provides the safest, simplest form of pet containment ever. Plug in the transmitter some where inconspicuously in your home. The transmitter emits radio signal around your home. Your pet wears a lightweight receiver collar which "listens" for the signal. While the collar is receiving the signal, your dog is free to run and play in your yard. When he approaches the boundary of the signal area, he receives a warning beep. If your dog does not return, he receives a static correction which is startling but not harmful. With a little simple training, your dog will quickly learn his boundaries.
Setting up your PetSafe Wireless Fence takes just a few minutes. The transmitter plugs into any standard 110 volt outlet. Since the signal will transmit reliably through walls and other obstructions, it can be placed in any convenient and discreet location, typically in the garage or a closet. Once you have set up The PetSafe Wireless Fence, you can now adjust the range that is appropriate for your dog and your yard.

We've owned this system now since August 2011 and have had a few problems. Within the first month of owning the product our collar was "eating" through batteries every two weeks. Now recently the system was engaging while the dog was inside the house. Both instances I called PetSafe and both times the company has replaced parts for us free of charge and without a hassle. Im waiting for a new transmitter and collar to arrive tomorrow... Other than that, and we hope we dont have any more problems the system has been a "good" investment. It has tought the dog her boundaries and while she has figured out when its not working she can get out without a tone correction or static shock, overall I would say its been helpful to me keeping our 1.5 yr old, 70 pound overly friendly and adventurous Golden Retriever to her yard, while Ive been attending to our 2 yr old son and expecting our second child any day now.

I found that the use with older dogs that would "wonder away" from time to time works well. However I own a Bloodhond 1yr old, and she is "Head-strong", with this application the product was inconsistant, needed to have a stronger SHOCK level, too get her attention when she locks onto something.

We ordered the PetSafe Fence for Freckles, our Jack Russell/Heeler mix. We trained him for about a week and a half with the flags and he learned quickly. We only fenced our backyard at first, to make sure he would be trainable. When we accomplished the backyard we ordered another transmitter to cover the front yard and we are very pleased. He has not once left our yard. I recommend this to owners who will be patient and are willing to spend the time to train their dog on using the fence. Freckles is very high energy, head strong dog. The PetSafe fence has been the best money we have ever spent on him. He is safe and has plenty or room to run. Transmitters and collar have been durable. The only drawback I see is the bulky and a somewhat heavy collar, especially for smaller dogs.

easy to set up. Once the dogs were trained it has worked perfectly. Be patient with training.

I used to have a cable run which really limited my dog, now even though the circular area does not cover my whole yard (it has an irregular shape) my dog has a lot more freedom, and I can change the diameter if I feel he needs more space. Also, you can take it with you if you move! Very happy!

this wireless fence works great it didn't take him long to figure out that the beeping meant that he would get a shock if he kept going.

This is a good product. We had used an older model of this unit with two dogs we had for twelve years. The initial collars were old and did not have the features that the new one does. The battery decline indicator is a definate plus over the old model. We are happywith this new unit and its function. the only thing we would like to see different is the size of the box on the collar. We have min. schnauzers and the box and collar are rather overwhelming in size for them

This has been a great product. Our dog is one year old and active. The product was easy to set up and I like the idea you could take it with you if you move or use it at another residence. Once our dog got the idea that the buzz sound meant she should back up from the perimeter all was well. At first she was shocked a few times, but she learned fast what the signal(buzz) meant. Some say that it is a cruel method, however I don't think they understand how the system works. Once the dog is shocked only a few times, it understands that the buzz is a warning and after is rarely or never shocked. Our dog now enjoys a huge space to run around and play and we feel she is safe from cars or running away. The batteries do need to be replaced every few months, the light starts beeping. The batteries are 5 dollarish on the internet or 6 - 7 dollars at stores, not a bad deal at all. The product is pretty affordable considering other methods. Also, we take the collar off at night and there has been on occassion we forgot to put it on in the morning. She has still stayed in the yard, although I wouldn't test this method because eventually they do realize they are not hearing the warning buzz and can wander. I have known some who have taken there dogs to training classes etc. and while it works for some, just like people all are different. For some dogs I've known training classes have not worked. This is a great product for those dogs. I would and have recommended this product to many people.

This product works very well and was easy to set up. I love that it is portable too! Only downside is that you can't set the specific boundaries (are confined to the radius of the signal) but still well worth the money!!
