Keep your pet off furniture, away from a room or train them to not climb on your car. The PetSafe Pawz Away Pet Mat is a valuable aid in training your dogs or cats to avoid areas you want to protect.
The Pawz Away Pet Mat is an invaluable addition to a pet training program, providing immediate training to help correct your pet’s behavior. The Pawz Away Pet Mat provides a harmless static correction helping your pet quickly learn to avoid the areas you choose to protect.
The Pawz Away Pet Mat will train your pet to stop unwanted behaviors – rather than your pet associating the training with you. After a few corrections with the Pawz Away Pet Mat, your pet will quickly learn to avoid the area.
Simply place the PetSafe Pawz Away Pet Mat in a location you would like your pets to avoid. When he touches the PetSafe Pawz Away Pet Mat, he receives a mild static correction and will quickly learn to stay away from that area. If your dog or cat has a habit of rolling, scratching and shedding on your rug, the PetSafe Pawz Away Pet Mat will encourage him to move elsewhere. Keep your dog or cat off the sofa, kitchen counter or out of any area.
There is never any danger of injury to your pets. Pawz Away adjusts to 3 levels of correction, all in the range of familiar static shocks. After one or two encounters, your pet will associate the corrections with the area where his mischief occurred and avoid those areas. Since the Pawz Away is battery powered you can move it to other problem areas. (Requires 9-volt alkaline battery not included)

I have two cats who sleep on our furniture. One of the cats got a urinary track infection and urinated all over the couch. Since we set up the Pawz Away Mat they stay off the furniture where ever I put the mat down. It has been a great deterrent.

The mats are very effective in keeping our dogs off of our new furniture. Be aware that if you have toddlers around the mats should not be used when they are present.
