A Dedicated Waterfowl Product That is Rugged, Waterproof and Submersible. Just like all remote trainers in the Wetland Hunter line, but in an unbelievably compact size. The SportDog Wetland Hunter Shock Collar has a range of 400 yds. (1/4 mile).
The Realtree Max4 Camo Wetland Hunter with its high-output receiver, has enough power for the toughest wetland hunting environments. Stay hidden. Get wet. Work your dog. Bag birds. What else is there? Plus this dog training collar uses Rechargeable NiMH Batteries!
The waterfowler hunts in unique settings and needs top performance from his most important asset: his retriever. So SportDOG created a series of hunting dog training collars specifically to meet those demands. The SportDog Wetland Hunter SD-400 Camo Shock Collar isn’t some old product reintroduced with a new name.
It was designed from the ground up by pros like Charlie Jurney, Chris Akin and Tom Dokken, to name just a few members of the SportDOG team who stake their livelihood on how well their dogs perform. All transmitters and collar receivers are guaranteed waterproof and submersible to 25 ft., and they look outstanding – without standing out – because they are finished in Advantage® Max-4 HD™ camo, a waterfowling favorite.
The SportDog Wetland Hunter Shock Collar can be expanded to a three dog remote trainer by adding a SportDOG Brand SDR-FC Add-A-Dog Collars

The collar works great and the company includes a lot of valuble informaiton explaining the proper use of the collar. I would recomend this collar to anyone seeking a similar product.

always try to associate putting the collar on my dog with "We're gonna go do something fun!!!" so he's always excited when he sees that I'm getting it out. Rarely do I need to "stimulate" (shock), and it actually didn't take much for him to respond to it. I definitely feel that I have control when we are outdoors whether he has the collar on or not. He has definitely learned to stay by me and to come when called. I plan on taking him on some float trips this summer, and the water resistant feature is perfect for this.
The battery life is fantastic, but bear in mind that it does take about 12 hours to re-charge both the collar and remote. When you turn the collar off, a light stays on while you are pressing the power on/off button: green=good battery, red=low battery and recharge soon!!!
