The Stubborn Dog Yard Trainer by SportDOG is designed for reinforcing basic dog obedience with a stubborn or less sensitive dog around the house or yard. With a compact collar receiver that allows for 100 yards of range, the palm-of-the-hand sized remote allows for 8 levels of correction as well as a tone only button.
The Yard Trainer 105S also features a waterproof collar receiver and a water resistant remote transmitter. Great for smaller and stubborn dogs and first-time electronic collar owners, the Yard Trainer 105S by SportDOG also includes Basic Training instruction with Pro Trainer Charlie Jurney to get you started.

"I have a lab that is extremely stubborn so I have to have the collar turned up higher than I would like to make a difference. What is really nice is once she knows she will get shocked all I have to do is use the warning button. I rarely have to shock her now, I just warn her and she behaves.

Great tool for training

This is a great tool for training dogs. I use it for my German Shepherd who had problems with distractions during training. With the Sport Dog Training collar, now he only needs to hear the warning beep and he is listening to my commands.

"Almost everything about this collar is great. We really needed higher settings in the beginning, if we had gotten the regular e-collar, we never would have had progress. We have a very tough and stubborn boy. In the beginning, he would calculate the risk and run after a small animal anyway, hoping we would use a low setting, even tightening the muscles in his neck when he was thinking of breaking the rules. Now we rarely need to even put it on him and when we do, it's a very low setting.
We were concerned that he would only obey when it was on him, but it really just instilled in him a habit of listening to us and we have a much different dog today than we did when we purchased this!
The only negative is that the receiver box is a little large, and even on a golden retriever, it is quite obvious. Only a problem if you care what other people think about you using an e-collar."
