1 Acre Underground Fence

We have our 1/3 of an acre yard fenced with this. It was easy to intall, easy to move and best of all out dog stays inside the boundary! It took 1 day of training and one shock. So far so good. We live across from a large park with lots of squirrels and dogs going by all day long. In the past he has climbed, dug, jumped etc. We also have a spotdog radio collar for when our dog is off leash; this was also a great product. Good job Sport Dog for making an affordable and workable unit for out escape artist!

very please with sportdog fence.had another underground fence that didnot work as good as this sportdog fence. i have told other friends about this fence and how good it works on my 4 dogs.

We've been really happy with our SportDog Fence. We contain two active and large dogs (lab and husky). Installation was well-documented and easy. Our lab caught on within the first day or two. The husky was a slightly bigger challenge, but she had it down after about 10 days and a higher ""correction"" level. This has been great for us since there are a lot of off-property enticements in our rural area. The dogs still chase wildlife, but stay on our property.
We did the installation in a few hours. Before doing anything, my wife and I walked-off the perimeter with a 100ft rope to gauge use of the 1000ft of wire. We used the staples which also made it easier. Definitely read the instructions before beginning and plan out your area.

To plug the main wire into the side of the unit the cover had to be removed.It felt like the hole in the plastic side of the control panel was not made large enough.

We have 2 Dalmatians and a Black Lab/Pit Bull mix on 10.5 acres , with a pond. I made a circle that is 2500' feet long....this system works very well...my dogs are very active...they swim every day- this does not bother the waterproof collar. They don't just swim with the collars on - they attack (play) each other constantly...in the pond, on land, every day, all day! It only took about 1 week to train them, even with such a large area as I have. They do not challenge the collar, even though it is on it's lowest shock setting. This system is impressive, and my wife and I agree it was money very well spent!
