Provides security against strays. And this cat door does it without requiring batteries or household current!
The secret? The collar key itself is a magnet that actually unlocks the flap allowing access by your pet but not by other pets or strays. Naturally, as with all our pet doors, this one is perfectly suitable for small dogs as well.
A Tunnel Extension is available for installation in a wall and additional Collar Keys for additional pets are also available.
Please use the guidelines listed below to select the proper size door for your pet. You should select a door that is appropriate for the largest pet that will be using the pet door.

I got this door and thought it was the cats meow! It worked great for about 3 months until the magnetic locking latch jammed up. It is in the down position and the door just flaps freely like any other cat door. I took the magnet off my cat's collar as it is useless. I was disappointed that it did not last for at least a couple of years, as I really liked the idea of only my cat being able to gain entry to our garage. If I had know it would just become a regular cat door I would not have spent the extra money. I even purchased an extra collar as I read in other reviews that the cat loosing the magnet was the bigger issue.

We use this on a large plastic storage box to feed our skinny nibbler cat so the fat one cant eat all her food. we found we had to raise the box fairly high so that the magnet would contact the floor of the door/tunnel to open the flap. ie. put it at chest height on a door so that the cat has to climb up a bit into the door, rather than stoop down. She finds it a bit of a tough push to open the door, so a bit of a learning curve there, though she had previously used a cat flap without trouble. But it is doing the job. Food is always waiting for her, and she can get in to eat in peace. Success! quick delivery, good price.

I have used this product for years and still do. I was having difficultly replacing the collar and magnetic keys for my two cats, now well supplied and also added a whole new door for future replacement, although they have been coming and going through the present one for six years. Thanks for your prompt response, as my rescued calico had lost her house key!
