Pet Waste Removal > Doggie Dooley
Choose the Correct Doggie Dooley
Doggy Dooley digesters install in
the ground to provide quick easy cleanup for any lawn. Works like a home
septic system by using enzyme and bacteria action to turn pet waste into a
ground absorbing liquid that does not harm the environment. Just drop in
waste, and add water and digester, and wait for the digester to work. Ideal
for most soils except clay. Each digester model includes installation
instructions and a six-month supply of Doggie Dooley Waste Terminator.
Doggie Dooley Features

elimination again. With the new Doggie Dooley systems you won't have to.
Simply place the elimination in the in-ground Doggie Dooley. Meanwhile
inside the Doggie Dooley the fast acting chemicals break the waste down.
You'll never have to take out smelly trash bags again. Doggie Dooley
utilizes enzyme and bacteria action reducing dog waste to a ground absorbing

Doggie Dooley Models 2000 & 3000 - pail-style models require digging a hole 48" deep.
Width of the hole is 14" in diameter for the
Doggie Dooley Model 2000 & 15" in diameter for the Doggie Dooley Model 3000. These
Doggie Dooley's have built-in overflow devices, which allow stool to digest
within the unit and drain gradually through the overflow tubes. It is very
important to add at least 1 quart to 1 gallon of water daily. If water is not
added daily, these Doggie Dooley's will start to dry out and will need to be started-up again
with water & digester powder.
Doggie Dooley Models 3500 & 3800 - pyramid-style models require digging a 20" x 20"
square hole. Depth is 14" for Doggie Dooley Model 3500 and 23" deep for
Doggie Dooley Model 3800. Unlike the
"holding tank" pail-style models, the pyramid-style Doggie Dooley's
drain directly into the ground. Maintenance requires adding 5 gallons of water 2
times a week. Note: You can extend the capacity of the smaller 3500 unit by
digging a 10" diameter by 12" deep hole in the center of the 20" x 20" x 14"
hole. For multi-pet households.
General Information:
Doggie Dooley does not work as effectively in soils with heavy clay content. To
check for proper drainage, add 5 gallons of water after digging the hole. If the
water drains completely in 48 hours, the Doggie Dooley should work properly.
The manufacturer recommends using Doggie Dooley Waste terminator (digester powder) with
all units, especially if dogs are fed a highly digestible food such as Iams,
Science Diet, or Eukanuba, or other premium foods.
Too much chlorine in your water can stop or slow digestive action. Leaving a
pail of water in the sun will evaporate the chlorine. This could take from 1-2
hours, or up to an entire day if the chlorine level is very high.
Digestive action will start at 40° F and increases as the temperature rises.
When temperatures drop below 40° you will want to discontinue use of the unit.
When it warms up again, simply re-start the unit as in the beginning (adding
water, stool, and digester powder).
Select a site for the Doggie Dooley away from your house, tree roots, the path of you
lawn mower, and an area of your yard where there is never standing water. Try to
locate an area with minimum clay content and check for proper drainage first.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q. Which Doggie Dooley is right for me?
A. There are many factors to consider when deciding on a Doggie Dooley. The size and
number of dogs and the size hole that you
want to dig are the main factors.
Q. What type of stool digester should I use with my Doggie Dooley System?
A. The Doggie Dooley System comes with the Doggie Dooley Waste Terminator which will
work fine even if you feed your dog a highly digestible food such as Iams,
Science Diet, Eukanuba or other premium food.
Q. What climate can I use a Doggie Dooley System in?
A. The digester in the Doggie Dooley Systems starts working at 40° F and increases in
effectiveness as the temperature increases. It will not work when the
temperature is lower than 40° F. If the temperature is below 40° F, use hot
water to activate the digester.
Q. What type of soil is best for a Doggie Dooley System?
A. The best soil is a soil that has good drainage with little to no clay and /or
gravel.
Q. My soil has a lot of clay, can I dig the hole deeper than it needs to be and
add gravel to it?
A. Digging a deeper hole and adding gravel will not help. Once the area with the
gravel is full of digester and digested stool, then it will back up onto your
yard.
