Dog Owner?
This is my second collar since I apparently didn't adhere to the instructions for fitting the first one, and my dog slipped out of it. I live in a major highway and my dog was always bee-lining across it chasing deer. That's when I bought the fence and collar. At first, while training him, I thought I broke his spirit because he rarely even wanted to go outside anymore. I didn't. He just had to get used to it, and used to having boundaries. Now he knows the perimeter (his perimeter), of 5 acres. I set it to 3, as he is a pretty headstrong German shepherd/malinous, but he learns very quickly. I'll definitely stick with the SportDog brand of products.
