I think the product is much more humane than shock collars. However, it was way too sensitive! Every time my dog shook, it would spray her. I eventually just took it off her.
I think it would be better

Now that I'm reading more reviews (apparently I missed the right ones in the beginning) I shouldn't have bought this. My dog is between 7-10 lbs and it sprayed him ten times before he barked (Sneezing, or shaking). It's also too big to really fit under his chin without him sitting awkwardly. I also purchased the remote one and while the blast is WAY stronger than I'd like that one is much preferred

I put this on my 105lb pitbull because he barked non stop while I was at work, it took maybe three days and you wouldn't even know I have a dog! Love it! It has also calmed him down when people are over which is awesome!!! I never had issues setting it up I placed batteries in and filled it and it worked like a charm! I even ordered one for my friends dog and they love it!!!

Even though it says it is adjustable for all sizes of dogs, it was huge and cumbersome on my 10 lb chi mix. More importantly, it sprayed her even when she wasn't barking - when she jumped off the bed or couch, when she sneezed, and the worst of all, when the other dog was barking 10 feet away. Poor thing got blasted and she wasn't doing anything wrong! Kudos to radiofence for taking it back with no argument. Will bite the bullet and buy the one designed for small dogs at twice the price. But - for what it's worth - it DOES work to reduce baring.

I got this collar as a safe alternative to a shock collar for my German Shepherd who likes to bark. The collar worked great, she just barked right through it! I think it annoyed her even more because she wouldn't stop barking. I'm going to try it on my smaller spaniel and see how it goes.

when I got the collar it didn't work. I emailed radio fence and he walked me through the procedure and it didn't work. he sent me a new one and now the battery is dead so I don't know if it works or not. will wait for the battery.

Product came brand new in 3 days to hawaii. That alone is awesome. Although I still don't agree with these types of methods to quiet your dog, my neighbors love it! I do feel sorry for my puppy and only put it on when no one is home (which is when he will bark consistently for long periods of time). I've observed him with it and usually once it's on, he will bark once, get sprayed, and never makes a sound even a little after I take it off. My dog can and will bark at everything nonstop; from people walking their dogs, to people walking across the street without dogs, to lizards that lie on the porch. This does its job as a deterrent not a training tool.

I have a chiweenie, a pit bull, and a pit bull mix. Bought it for all of them. Haven't used it just yet but wanted to clear up some of these comments.
For those of you saying "it's too big for my small dog". It's because this is the larger size. They make a "little dog" collar. You need to get that one. So don't review this product just because you can't read or buy the correct size. This site offers the "little dog" collar. I would say get that for dogs between 10-25lbs. Then 25lbs - 50lbs this size. They also sell a "Big Dog" spray collar. 50lbs plus, get that size.
I got the little dog one for my chiweenie (12 lbs). This size for my pitbull mix (40lbs) and the big dog collar for my pitbull (64lbs).
I will be writing another review once I have used these. But I just wanted to say this now because the reviews have been driving me crazy. Do the proper research, and don't base a products effectiveness based on the fact you don't know what you are doing.

My dog is a chiweenie and weighs 9 lbs. The collar didn't fit next to her neck and didn't operate when she barked. It was too heavy for her.
