These doors are beautifully designed to keep in the heat and keep out the cold weather. Multiple ceramic magnets ensure that the flap always closes completely, which prevents a cold draft from coming inside your house.

For times when you want to restrict your pet's use both inside and out, the panel can be locked. Plus, for added security, these patio panel dog doors feature a reversible lock for left or right sliding doors. This panel fits sliding glass door frame openings ranging from 76.75" to 81" for regular patio doors and are available in various colors to suit almost any decor.

These doors feature a heavy-duty aluminum construction and shatter-resistant, tempered safety glass. They're also equipped with the energy-conserving UltraSeal flexible flap system designed to keep the heat and cold outdoors.

  1. Perfect 5 Star Review

Posted by on Oct 26th 2016

We bought our first one about 15 years ago and it still works wonderful. Even though we have different dogs now than we did then... Just purchased a second one for a sliding glass door that goes to a newly finished screened porch and so we now have two of these. The new one arrived quickly and they are so easy to install. We are very happy and highly recommend this product.

  2. Better Than Expected 5 Star Review

This door is perfect. Didn't realize I have a recessed sliding glass door (description was not clear), so had to order an additional part (not expensive, though). Even without the new part, the door fits nicely into my frame. The packaging was very sturdy, the glass super nice and clear, the flap heavy enough to stay put by the magnet, and the instructions (except for the recessed door description) were easy to understand and follow. Looking forward to the arrival of the new part to finalize the installation. Wish I had bought this product earlier.

Note: I have indoor-only cats, in addition to the dog who is using the door. A PetSafe rep suggested I buy the tall door to make it a bit harder for a cat to get out (they'd have to step up to push the flap). Wonderful suggestion! She also thought buying a second flap to go with the existing one, making the flaps heavier, would help. Still working with my dog on the existing flap, but once she's got it down, will definitely get a second flap.

  3. Door fanstastic 4 Star Review

Door is great. Very easy to install. I added extra screws.
The latch is to small if U use weather stripping on door. I bought a bigger stronger one for $5.00 no problem. We have 3 dogs. The door flap with the magnets works great.

I found this door at our pet store and it was 100.00 more. The door came very soon after ordering and had my Handyman install it. It works great

  5. Great Product - I couldn't find Large/Tall anywhere else 5 Star Review

Our dog loves it. She is a GSD and now she could go thru the door without crouching first.

Perfect as an insert only (we didn't hard mount) still room on the side for humans to get in and out.

  8. Very good quality for a great price. 5 Star Review

Posted by on Feb 18th 2016

I researched and looked everywhere for a decent priced cat door. I found this one to be the most affordable and was nervous that it would be a poor quality. I had a PetSafe brand dog door similar to this but larger and I can say this one is just as good. The only difference is the magnet on this one is not as strong I feel so does not always catch. I highly recommend this if you are looking for a decent price and good quality pet door for your slider.
Because I owned one of these doors previous I remember the weatherproofing strip that comes with it is thinner and wore with time, so we went to the hardware store and bought some to use, I was surprised there was less draft than with the PetSafe door I had previously(probably cuz we used better weather stripping). As for the vinyl door problem others have had, this door is thinner than a slider so does not fit as snug but neither are the other brands. It comes with what you need to make it stay.

  9. might as well leave the front door open 2 Star Review

Mine may be defective but the flap swings wide open, doesn't even touch the magnetic strip. The house is freezing if I leave it open. Pointless.

  10. Works well...not for vinyl patio doors 3 Star Review

Posted by on Apr 15th 2015

We had one of the old Pet-Eze patio panel in our old house and when we moved we decided to get one for our new house so our cat could enjoy the great outdoors. Unfortunately, it seems that this particular patio panel is not very compatible with vinyl sliding glass doors. We could never get it to lay flush with the door even after several modifications. After talking with someone at Pet Safe, he informed me that these work best with metal patio doors and has a lot of people call the company with problems installing with vinyl doors. Overall, it's a decent product and we got it to work ok...but it's definitely not weatherproof and you can feel the draft coming from between the patio panel and door. Also, the pet flap never seems to close all the way which is a bit of a hassle having to check it every time I walk by the door. I would recommend a different brand (ones that are designed specifically for use with vinyl doors) unless you plan to use this with a metal sliding glass door.
