I have four of these collars and love them. I tried the ones that were not rechargeable, but returned them and got the rechargeable ones. I know when the collars need recharging because there is a blinking green light when they are working. Great collar! I have three standard poodles and a golden retriever and they work great on them.

This was the second collar I had purchased from Radio Fence. The first one my dog chewed up so I needed a replacement. It was great! Then the second one was for another dog. They work great, and I will be buying my products from Radio Fence from now on.

I purchased the system with a total of 4 collars just over a year ago! It has been the BEST investment I have made to protect my outside dogs. I have them on 7 acres and it didn't take them very long to figure out where their boundaries were. I have found that the collars do fray easily and I have had to buy 4 extra blue reflective collars (not with the transmitter, just the collars) and recently one my transmitters fell off a collar (not sure how, perhaps the 4 dogs playing together it somehow came off) Ordering a single replacement was easy and reasonably priced. For those of you that are charging your collars weekly/monthly I don't suggest you do that as it is best to let the battery drain almost completely before recharging to get a better life span on the collars/transmitters. My system will beep and let me know when it's time to recharge (usually about every 4 months). And, as far as having systems short out, I also recommend the surge adapter for your system (again, well worth the price). After all, paying a good price for a system to protect your fur babies, is worth the little extra to protect the system as well. I would recommend this product system over and over again!!!!

Love the system. Only complaint... the cloth/nylon collar frays. Within 3 weeks we had to purchase a collar and fix it so that the receiver fit. Be nice if the collars were heavy plastic like the other ones.

We have three labs at the present. You do have to train your dogs and let them go thru the fence to feel the charge in order for them to get trained. We had another lab who used it until the time she died. All work well. One lab whose collar was not tight enough learned to go slowly thru the fence line keeping her head very still, but we changed the prong to a longer one and tightened the collar a bit and she is back to not crossing the line. Just a very smart dog. Charge collars once a month.

Have two dogs and use one on each dog. The collar we are replacing lasted for 8-9 years before no longer being able to hold a charge. Not a bad life span!

Very happy with these collars. We have two dogs and they each use one. For the smaller one, we cut the "extra" off so she wouldn't chew on the end. They definitely work and it's only taken two or three "shocks" to keep them both in the fenced area for good!

The only thing I wish was the the warning tone was louder. Especially during the training. Other than that I am very satisfied.
