Very effective, does the job - and so glad we got the system! My son-in-law has had an older Innotek radio fence system for about 2 years which works perfectly with his Pit Bull. I have a young black lab which has been virtually uncontrollable and bought this choosing to avoid keeping him chained up, since I live on 5 acres and have no fence to contain him. He learned within just a few days what his boundaries (about 1.5 acres) were and respects them very nicely.
Thank you for an affordable and effective system.

I purchased a basic set four years ago, and it worked very well until the transmitter unit failed. Since the basic unit was discontinued, I purchased the Standard Contain & Train set just to get the transmitter and a spare collar, because trying to buy just the individual parts was ridiculously expensive. I highly recommend the Innotek fence concept. I don't know why my original transmitter failed, but I noticed, probably for the first time, that the instructions say to unplug your fence unit in the event of a thunderstorm; I never did that.

I only needed a collar they seem to go bad quick but for 50.00 more buy the whole system. Why can't you buy just the collar for less than 109.00? If the containment only would work with this system I would get it dogs are already trained.

We love this product. We had a similiar product from another company at a previous home and this one is just as nice or better. We have had for three weeks installed with no problems or battery issues. I wish the transmitter had a control on shock strength. Directions were easy to follow and helpful. I ordered additional wire and had some confussion as to which went with this system. Our boxer learned very quickly and respects the line. Having the training remote is worth paying a little extra.

I really love this product. It was alot of work to lay the wire (700 feet!) and also planning the layout, but I am so pleased with the freedom it gives the dog and myself! I did have several run throughs and shocks to the dog during training. This is the hard part, but after a few times it just clicked with him and avoids the flags like the plague. Tonight we watched another dog walk by on the sidewalk in front and he didn't even try to go out of the perimeter. If it will work on my bull headed Jack Russell, it should work with yours.

I got this product so I wouldn't have to keep my chocolate lab chained up outside, we wanted him to be able to run free, but be safe. He is also extremely hyper and there was no way to control him when he had mal behaviors, or ran across the road. With the remote control, it makes it so easy. You feel like you have control of the situation, and have more confidence. My only complaint is that there is no audible low battery warning, and because of that, you have to keep a close eye on the collar to make sure it still has battery. None the less, a great well priced system. I would recommend it!

Our dog had decided that no only should he chase cars going by, but he especially loved the UPS truck. He loved to chase the truck and destroy the packages that they left behind at the neighbor's houses. We needed a solution and fast!! This was it. We followed the installation instructions and everything works perfectly. The dog quickly learned his boundaries so that solved our immediate problems. WE haven't used the training part of the collar yet, but the containing part works wonderfully.

Although I have parented dogs for the past 25+ years, I parented them all from 6 to 8 weeks old, until their sad departure(death). My last one, PenneyToo, passed away Dec 2008 of a heart attack. I decided to go to a rescue shelter to adopt instead of a Samoyed Breeder to purchase. There I found a 2 1/2yr old "Akita", Kita Marie. Kita had been adopted and returned 3 times prior to me adopting her. Akita's are just the opposite of a Sammy. Kita Marie has the built in instint to attack and eat anything that moves. She will chase all cars, bike riders and kids. Small animals and birds are like prey to her, and at 80lbs, I hit the ground, usually face first when she decides to "get it" (whatever "it" may be). She can litterally drag me arround. I DECIDED TO GET THE SD-3000 more for the remote training collar then the fence. Its great that it comes with the fence for the price of this unit. I had to shock Kita 3 or 4 times on the 2nd setting of 4,(the highest) and after about 3 or 4 times of tone followed by a light shock, it only takes the tone to get her attention away from whatever. This is a very agressive dog and one excellent training aid. Kita acts like she knows whats next and I mean instantly does an about change of attitude, just by the tone (no shock at all). Currently the fence is installed and only been turned on 3 time for training. I found the dead zones were difficult to set up but once complete, works very well. But the remote training collar with this unit is all I really needed. I am totally amazed at the change in Kita Marie. Thanks Innotek from me and especially Kita, I am sure you will save me several thousands of dollars in medical bills, liabillity suits and lost dog fees, not to mention several bumps and bruses. Kita thanks you as now she has a permenant home because of you. I am extreamly impressed. It's too bad I can't rate this unit a 10.
