they work great but have had some problems breaking

I have had to replace some collars when still fairly new because one of the electrodes? will fall off. Tried to go through warranty to get refund but put on hold repeatedly and they didn't return my call

Super!

We put in a PetSafe system nearly 10 years ago for a dog that weighed over 100lbs. Now we have a 12 lb dog for whom we purchased this Deluxe Ultralite Collar.. She completely learned the boundaries in less than a day and is now happily roaming in the 1 acre enclosure! Great product!

Deluxe Ultralight Collar

Great device. I currently have two dogs each using their own deluxe ultra light collar. Setting correction level is easy and low battery warning light is extremely helpful. Battery life is excellent ( 6+ months. If you need replacement batteries quickly they can be purchased at Radio Shack. Clear correction level cap breaks easily, get some spares. Collar would be perfect if it had a D-ring to attach I.D. and vaccination tags.

Great Way To Keep Little Dog Safe

2summers ago our miniature poodle snuck into a friend's car. Lucky for her it was not very hot that day. It could have ended badly. Made decision to remove access to our driveway by training her to the underground wire fence. Easy to train, and now I am comfortable knowing she is safe.

Great Fence Collar

I've been using this model collar for about 25 years & it's been great. The 6 volt battery lasts a long time and the 5 correction levels make it suitable for any dog. When training your dog, make sure the collar is tight enough to give a correction every time and he will stay in boundary. After the dog is trained, the collar doesn't have to be as tight, as he will listen for the correction sound. My transmitter has a switch for shock only or far warning also. I use it on shock only since the dogs tend to sit and listen to the bird sound while wearing out the battery. The shock only setting still gives a warning sound close to the boundary. Our hilltop is a magnet for lightning strikes so I turn the system off for thunderstorms. I use 2 legs of a 3 phase on-off switch to turn off both sides of the perimeter wire and I unplug the transmitter during lightning storms. Our dogs still adhere to their training when the fence is off. I have found that 16 or 18 gauge perimeter wire is easily chewed off by varmints. I've been using 14 gauge copper stranded insulated wire for the last 10 years or so and there's been no tries at chew-offs. I use an edger to get the wire just under the grass on the lawn but in the woods, I just lay the wire down and it quickly covers over. Yellow wire connectors should be avoided in the woods since the deer think they're corn. This is a great collar that can give your dog(s) the feeling of freedom while keeping them in your boundary.

want containment with the freedom for your pet to roam your property?

Excellent produce. I have had 4 Labradors over the years and I purchased the original "radio fence" for my first Lab, I just purchased the "PetSafe Deluxe ultralight" model for my new 4 month old Lab. In the past, only one of my Labs was a knot head and I had to purchase the "stubborn Dog" version before he remained home, but it solved the problem. All collars worked excellent through out the years and I would totally recommend this product if you want to give your dog the freedom to roam your property but insure containment for safety and peace of mind that your pet reminds home. Oh yah, you can circle your garden or fish pond to keep your dog out of specific areas within the containment area if you want to.

Keep Your Pet Safe at Home

We have used PetSafe Deluxe Ultralight Dog Fence Collars for over 15 years on several dogs. They work wonderful! We have doggie doors so our little girls can come into the house when they want. The Collars let them enjoy being outside as much as they want too. The dogs learn very quickly where their boundary's are. I have recommended both the in ground wiring as well as the no wiring fences. Both work great!

Great product!

I installed the PetSafe Radio Fence and had my 6mo. old Lab mix off his leash on the second day! I had the static set to level 3 first and when he approached wire he yelped like he had been hit by a car. Immediately set collar to level 2 and he got too close a few more times but, while he definately got a jolt, it just deterred him from getting anywhere near those dreaded white flags! Now just the audible warning is enough to stop him in his tracks. Need to keep adjusting the collar every couple of days as it loosens. I expect this will correct itself once the "newness" stretches out. Great product!

Works Great!

in ground fence collare

This is a great product. One of the best things we have ever bought. We are using it for our 2nd dog. Only problem is the plastic on the collar gets cheaper in quality and harder to fasten. I've written to petsafe about this. The fence itself is a must have for suburban dogs!

Works good

I had a rechargeable collar before this one and it was a little bulky on my small dog. I like it for the fact I did not have to buy batteries but they discontinued it. I went with this collar and it is much lighter for him. It works good so far. I am pleased!
