I highly recommend this to anyone that wants their dog to not run away when you call them. The 1st time you zap the dog was traumatic for me. I hated to do it, but it was a safety issue with my dog. After the 1st day, and 3 zaps, I never had to zap again. Remember call the dog, no response hit the noise button, if that don't work ...zap. All I need to do now is hit the noise button. We go to the beach almost everyday, and the battery last a long, long time!! Days. If I charge it once a week , I'm always good. It's in saltwater all the time, and no problems. I have had it almost a year. LOVE IT!! I can take my dogs anywhere, and there is never a problem.

We bought this wonderful collar AFTER our wonderful puppy chased a duck right into the street and was hit. He survived with a broken leg and some surgery but we'll always feel guilty we didn't invest this small amount of money in comparison to our pup and his new status from a $25 rescue to a $2,500 household love. We hardly EVER have to use the shock; he is so tuned in to the warning beep and comes immediately on 7 acres and happy to be free with our supervision rather than the overhead trolley run. Thank you for such a great product!!!

We use invisible fencing for our St. Bernard but we still have the problem of her barking. So, we bought your collar and now she is an angel. We only had to buzz her two times! Quickly she understood what the beeping means. We also like the fact that it's mobile so we can take it to the park as well!

We have a young Aussiedoodle. Very smart, and very active. Living in a condo, we don't have the option of a fenced yard, but we are lucky to have a common area where she is allowed. We wanted to be able to let her run around the yard to release some of her high energy! But, she kept wanting to go either through the hedges to the house next door, into the woods at the back of the property or down the driveway. I decided to used the PetSafe Yard and Park Training Collar as a manual invisible fence. Within two days, she knew the boundaries where she could play. (I only had to use the negative stimulation twice - on a #3 setting.) Now I only beep when she is distracted and not listening to my vocal commands. She immediately stops what she is doing and pays attention to me. Absolutely wonderful training tool.

We have an acre lot with additional acreage on all sides, providing ample opportunity to wander away. .I bought this collar for intermittent use to correct 3 difficult problems: paying attention and responding to the come command, stopping barking quickly when anyone arrives, and to correct the tendency to trespass on my one neighbor's yard. The collar works exactly as advertised and is effective.
I do not agree with the instructions that using a shock collar is a good way to train a dog to obey all commands.

The only negative would be the collar battery could hold a charge longer and it takes overnight to recharge. Our dog was trained on an invisible fence from our prior home so this went very smoothly. As soon as I push the negative tone she comes running. I have not tried this in a park like setting, only on our own property. Well worth the $.
If you have a small dog you may think the collar is a bit heavy.

We did buy another one immediately because I do think this is a very valuable training device for a big powerful dog that needs to be gentle around children, but still be a good guard dog. Our Doberman, like a lot of Dobie's, likes to test for dominance a lot just playfully but he's a big boy so it was important he learn very fast not to jump on people, especially kids. Our house is large so he could easily zip upstairs and get in trouble before we were fast enough to correct him so this stopped that problem. The first one broke in a couple weeks. Not sure why or how, but just didn't work one morning but we bought another one and shipped it right away. Our other puppy is a Great Dane so while she is a lot less energetic and doesn't jump up so much we might need it to correct in case she does so we want to be sure to keep it around through the training phase. And it only took a couple very light shocks to correct behaviour so you don't feel cruel at all. In fact you know it keeps the dog from being punished regularly for infractions so it makes for a much happier and safer pet.

I am aware of the danger of a pack of coyotes attacking my yellow lab after a pitbull was taunted by a female coyote and then killed and eaten by a coyote pack in our neighborhood. I have seen how well my dog's collar works at preventing my dog from misbehaving. All I needed to do was give her two shock doses and now when she hears the tone, she is back at my side in a jiffy. I know that collar is a life saver for her.
