Q: What happens if we have a power outage? If the collar stops receiving a signal, does it start 'corrections'?

Asked by: Mike M - 10/9/2018
A: As long as the collar is properly synced with the system per the directions, the collar will simply not work in a power outage.

A: Hi Sandra,

The stubborn dog wireless fence collar is much stronger than the regular collar. The size and weight is similar although the shape of each collar is a bit different.

Q: Can you use the wireless transmitter inside a metal mobile home? If put in a wood shed in the back of home, will signal pass through metal mobile home in front? Can you install it on top of the metal mobile home roof if it had a cover over it????

Asked by: Michelle - 9/27/2017
A: The wireless transmitter can NOT be used inside a metal building. The metal building will interfere with the wireless signal.

Q: How exactly do you set the precise boundaries in an oddly shaped lot? Also, what is the difference between the two types of wireless containment systems for dogs. How long do batteries last before replacement or recharge?

Asked by: Charlene - 11/10/2017
A: Hi Charlene,

The wireless containment systems transmit a radio signal in a circular shape. If you need to have a more precise boundary for an oddly shaped lot, I would recommend you get an in-ground wired containment system. For more information on this feel free to give us a call at 800-941-4200

A: The 90 feet boundary can not be extended. If you need to contain a larger area than that, I would recommend using a wired system.

Q: I was told that if your yard was on a hill this system would not work?

Asked by: Cynthia - 8/4/2019
A: Hi Cynthia,

You can use this system on a hill, because the transmitter sends the signal in a spherical shape and not just a circle at the transmitter's level.

Q: 1) our dog is an outside dog. Can the collar be worn 24/7 If we move it around daily 2) we have the house, metal garage and lots of trees Will the signal work through all that , 3) are Main year is in front & back of house will I need 2 To over lap?

Asked by: Rachel - 4/25/2022
A: Hi Rachel,

It isn't recommended to leave the dogs in the collars 24/7, so try to give the dog regular breaks fro the collar.
As far as detailed information regarding metal buildings causing interference, I would recommend calling them at 800-732-2677.

Lastly, you can use multiple transmitters to overlap the signals and create a larger containment area. That is a good idea to maximize the space your dog has.
